Legal, privacy, and moderation information for The Czech Pages.
Use this page to understand how we handle your data, how the service is operated, and how to report content or contact us.
Privacy Policy / Data Protection Notice
This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can contact us about it.
When you use The Czech Pages, we may process your account details, profile information, listing submissions, reviews, support emails, moderation notes, and limited technical or security data such as login records and IP addresses where needed to keep the service safe.
We use this information to run user accounts, review and publish directory submissions, display reviews and public profiles when you choose to make them visible, send service emails, prevent abuse, and protect the security and integrity of the site.
We rely on contract where data is needed to provide your account or submission, legitimate interests for moderation, safety, and fraud prevention, and consent for optional analytics or similar tools. Google Analytics will only run after you choose to allow analytics cookies.
Accounts are kept until you delete them. Listing submissions and published directory content are kept unless we receive and accept a valid removal request. Moderation records are kept only as long as they remain useful for safety, abuse prevention, or legal follow-up, and we review them for deletion after about one year unless there is a continuing need to keep them.
- You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability where applicable, and you can lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.
- Passwords are stored as hashes rather than plaintext. Security and moderation records may be kept longer where needed to investigate abuse, enforce restrictions, or defend legal claims.
- We may keep logs of transactional emails, moderation outcomes, and security actions so we can verify what was sent or enforced and when.

You must only submit content that is accurate, lawful, and that you have the right to share. Do not post misleading, infringing, abusive, spam, or unsafe material.
We review directory submissions before publication and may edit formatting, request clarification, decline a submission, or remove live content if it does not fit the purpose or quality standards of the service.
Accounts may be suspended or blacklisted for fraud, repeated policy violations, harassment, impersonation, or attempts to disrupt the service. Where practical, we will provide the affected user with the reason for the moderation action and a contact route for follow-up.
- You remain responsible for the content you submit.
- We may keep archived moderation records instead of deleting them immediately when they are needed for safety or legal reasons.
- Public directory information is provided for general information and may change over time.

Depending on what we find, we may hide content during review, request clarification, reject a pending submission, archive a published listing, suspend an account for a fixed period, or blacklist an account in serious or repeated cases.
If your submission or account is moderated, we may send you a reason and instructions for follow-up when practical.
